The One27 connector with trailing contacts
Hot-swappable connectors such as the One27 ensure that a defined sequence of signal, ground, or power contacts is maintained.
The One27 with a 1.27 mm pitch is now also available with trailing contacts. Developers will be able to obtain the angled 12- to 80-pin blade connectors starting in March 2020. This enables modules to be replaced without any issues during operation in industrial applications.

The electronics are reliably protected in the process: A defined sequence of signal, ground, and power contacts is maintained during mating and disconnection. This ensures that the ground connection is established first to dissipate ground potential differences or electrostatic charges before the data line is established.
Changes during operation can thus be made quickly and easily. Modules containing the One27 can be removed and replaced without having to power down the device.
The dual-row SMT connector One27 with an angled female header can be individually configured—subsequent contacts can be placed in any desired position. The connector family offers a wide variety of designs and mating options with a small pitch and maximum robustness. The PCB spacing can be customized between 8.00 mm and 13.8 mm. The high mis-insertion protection of the One27 connectors allows the blade and spring contacts to be inserted variably within a range of 1.5 mm. Contacting in the One27 connectors is achieved via a double-pronged spring contact that encloses the contact pin of the male connector.
