flexilink: Overview
PCB connectors using press-fit technology
The flexilink is available in two versions:
- flexilinkjumper for horizontal PCB
connections - flexilinkb-t-b for parallel PCB connections
It stands out for its space-saving design combined with high current-carrying capacity. The PCB spacing of 1 millimeter and a footprint of only 3.8 millimeters on the PCB allow for maximum space utilization and versatile use of the connector, for example, for daisy-chaining LED PCBs. The height of the PCB connector is only 2 millimeters.
The flexilinkb-t-b connector with a 2.54 mm pitch guarantees a high-quality PCB connection using the press-fit method. This double-sided connector is THE solution for high switching currents, as no contact interface limits the current-carrying capacity.
A single component thus establishes both mechanical and electrical contact, eliminating the need for additional spacers and reducing both PCB real estate and overall costs.
The flexilinkb-t-b is adaptable: it is available for PCB spacings ranging from 5 to 25 millimeters, and multiple rows and pin counts can be combined as required.

FAQ: Questions and Answers About flexilink PCB Connectors
Can the flexilink also be pressed into a thicker copper base?
Yes, the flexilink can be easily pressed into thick-copper circuit boards.
Why is there a minimum order quantity for flexilink?
The minimum order quantities are due to the significant amount of consulting work involved, the complex machinery technology, and the high setup costs for the press.
Testimonials
However, we unconditionally guarantee the authenticity of these statements.
With the help of ept's flexilinks, we were able to solve our space constraints and launch our new product on schedule.
Thanks to ept's gas-tight press-fit zone, we were able to use flexilink to ensure that there would be no contact interruptions, even in encapsulated assemblies.
With flexilink, we can achieve exactly the PCB spacing we need.
In our tests under extreme shock and vibration conditions, we achieved excellent results with flexilink: There were absolutely no contact interruptions at the connection points between the flexilink pins and the PCB through-holes.
With flexilink, we require only one component instead of two to reliably connect printed circuit boards (PCBs).
